I am a Solutions Engineer at Hortonworks which is the leading contributor to and provider of Apache™ Hadoop® for the enterprise

I have been a Solutions Engineer / Software Engineer / Programmer Analyst / Data Scientist with over 14 years of industry experience in Information Technology and most recently in Big Data and Predictive Analytics. Specializing in designing, developing and implementing complex software solutions. Experienced in all areas of the software development life cycle.

Specialties: Experience in implementing search engine capability, scheduling engines, montecarlo simulations, big data on hadoop platform.

My previous work Experience:

Independence Blue Cross I lead the development and research of Big Data initiative and predictive analytics across the Informatics Division for Independence Blue Cross. I lead the architecture, design and development efforts for Big Data solutions, worked with members of cross-functional teams, third party vendors and IT Engineers and Operations teams to deliver quality products in a timely fashion. Developed strategies for Hadoop implementation, data acquisition, transformation and applying the available tools for predictive modeling and machine learning.

Oracle I specialized in designing, developing and implementing complex software solutions.

Hibu (Yellowbook USA) I worked at as a Lead Developer, where I was responsible for designing and developing the core search engine functionality for the YellowBook.com web site.

I hold an M.S. in Software Engineering degree from Penn State, as well as an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Temple University. Most recently i was auditing M.S. program at NYU Data Science program.
